Van Campen Liem had the pleasure to advise the Pythagoras Music Fund on the purchase and transfer of all shares in the capital of Nanada Music B.V. (music copyrights) and Red Bullet B.V. (master recordings) from its owner and founder Willem van Kooten, a pioneer and an icon of the Dutch music industry.

The music industry is going through a phase of strong growth, and streaming shifted the music industry towards a recurring revenue business.

The catalogue contains approximately 30,000 copyrights and 6,500 master recordings, with many important (Dutch) artists such as Andre Hazes senior & junior, Het Goede Doel, BZN, Earth & Fire and Sandy Coast, as well as the master and publishing rights to Shocking Blue’s Venus, which reached the no 1 position in the Billboard singles chart by three different artists. Golden Earring’s Radar Love is another iconic recording that achieved tremendous international success.
